Party Time

John 12 tells us about a party being thrown; Jesus is the guest of honor.  Take a look at who’s in attendance.  Simon, a guy Jesus healed of leprosy.  Lazarus, Jesus’ buddy that was raised from the dead.  And Mary and Martha, who Jesus had shown up at the messiest moment in their lives. (Matthew 26:6-23).  All people that had their lives rocked by Jesus!!

You may be saying to yourself -  “I’m just a regular person.  Nothing like that has happened to me.”  “I am just a mom or a dad.”  “A construction worker or a teacher.”  But you’re NOT!  You and I are Children of God.  We have been saved by the Power of the Cross!!  We Know Jesus!!

Folks, Jesus rescued me from the deepest darkest pit I could ever imagine.  A pit I had dug so deep I saw no way of climbing out.  I was as “dead” as Lazarus.  I was as “sick” as Simon.  None of that stopped Jesus from coming after me!  And I would suggest that He has done the same miraculous life changing things for each of you!!  What has He brought you through?  How has Jesus changed your life?

A friend of mine once told me, “If you pray and talk with God about everything you will begin to see God everywhere!”  Seeing Jesus in the small stuff helps us remember all the amazing things He has done.  Don’t forget what Jesus has done in your life!

It takes a death to have a resurrection.  It takes pain to have progress.  It takes a hurt to have a healing.  It takes a struggle to have a story worth telling.  It takes a trial to have a testimony.  Hallelujah brothers and sisters!  We are beautiful flowers growing in a garden that was once a graveyard!  Remember and Rejoice today!
