God Wants All of Us
It seems easy to forget God is there. You know what I am talking about? Middle of the week, maybe Tuesday afternoon, when life is just rolling along? We get busy with life. Work, raising children, being an attentive husband or wife, all these make for a full day. Then you throw in all the emotions that come with life. There are highs and lows, anger (if you drive anywhere this will pop up!), laughter, and sometimes you just feel “blah”.
I know I have probably said this before and I will most likely say it again, but God wants all of us. He wants all of you! The desire of God is to walk intimately with each one of us. To share in our busy lives and be right beside us in all the ups and downs of daily life. It is why we were created.
Here is another one that I have said before and will say again, it is a statement made by a dear friend and mentor, “if you talk with God about the little things you will begin to see God in everything!” When I first heard that it seemed almost silly. Am I supposed to pray for a good parking spot or for help me getting through this annoying traffic? Maybe so. But what I have truly grown to realize is, when I talk with God about all the little things, I begin to trust in God more and more. I don’t so quickly forget He is with me!
The apostle Paul must have given this some thought as well, he tells us, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” (Romans 12:12) He goes on to say, “Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16)
Friends, God knows life will get busy and be full of ups and downs. His desire is we allow Him to share in our everything! All of it. The good and the bad. When we are happy He wants to celebrate with us. When we are sad He wants to comfort us. When we are angry He wants to calm us. None of this can happen if we do not let Him into our lives fully!
Start today. Talk with God about all the little things. Allow Him to walk with you in everything! Don’t forget, God is with you! Be blessed today!
